Pastel on wove paper (28.5 x 44.5 cm). Free-floating. There is a flattened diagonal crease (approx. 14 cm long) with an associated repaired tear (approx. 10 cm long) extending from the centre left sheet edge, and some further creasing in places (nearly visible). A Y-shaped tear at the horse's front legs and a few further shot tears at the sheet edges (restaur.). The upper and lower right sheet corners made up. Three bands of light staining at the lower, upper and left sheet edges associated with old tape. Some foxmarks. with the Nachlass-Stamp numbered 'H340' (upper left). On the reverse side 'Trinkende Katzen' (1918), woodcut (n° H340 by Schiefler, n° H386 by Dube (half of right hand side). Framed
