Note:A collection of Beroaldo's works in prose, containing, among others, a description of the "Sentences" of the seven philosophers; an explanation of the "Symbols of Pythagoras". There also is a "Conversation of a drunk with his companions", and an essays on earthquakes and the plague (pestilentia).
Beroaldo (1453 - 1505) was a very popular teacher. It was said that up to 300 students followed his lectures, and that 200 students left the university after his death. He is considered to be the leading Italian humanist from 1494 on, after the death of Poliziano. The first part was published earlier, in 1516, by Josse Badius. R?f. Moreau II 2253, not in Adams
