2 parts in 1 vol. in-folio, 2 titles with large title-vign., large folding city-plan of Leiden by Covens and Mortier, large folding city-view of Leiden (ca. 26 x 120 cm, pasted in 2 parts), 9 double-page views of famous buildings and churches, 6 separate part-titles (i.a. "Icones fundatores et octo primorum curatorum academiae Lugduno-Batavae", "Icones professorum"), 136 full-page portraits of the foundators (9) and professors of theology (32), law (20), medicine (29), philosophy and letters (36), "doctores honorarii" (7) and 3 other portraits.
With 2 large folio broadsheets inserted instead of the lacking plates 9 & 11 : "Plan du jardin de l'Academie de Leide = A prospectus of the Academy garden of Leyden" and "Sphaera automatica = La sphere automatique" and portrait of Claudius Salmasius by C. Banheinningh pasted on inserted leaf.
