|Note:||First edition of the second part of the important work on Roman imperial coins by Hubertus Goltzius (1526-1583). The first part (Iulius Caesar) was published in 1563 but the author says in his foreword that he wanted to publish his "Fastos magistratum et triumphorum Romanorum" (1566) firstly. The illustrations of coins are drawn after the collections that Goltzius consulted during his travels throughout Europe. |
