Note:Ref. Adams B-2308. Hector Boece's "Scotorum historiae a prima gentis origine" is the first printed book solely dedicated to the history of Scotland, printed in Paris in 1527. Today it is considered one of the cornerstones of early Scottish history.
The central woodcut in the title-page depicts the printing workshop of Badius (Prelum Ascensianum), humanist printer born in the village of Asse, near Brussels
