Description:In-folio (31,3 x 19,2 cm), [6]- 54 pp, large woodcut printer's device on title page, full-page engraved portrait of Prince Maurice; woodcut head-pieces, initials and diagrams. Lacking 1 leaf of the introduction (arms of the Prince and sonnets), supplied in xerox. Paper yellowed, inner margin of title page strengthened.
Bound as usual with: idem. Nouvelle manière de fortification par Escluses. Leyden, Matthieu & Bonaventure Elzevier, 1618. In-f°, [iv]-61 pp. With 37 woodcut illustrations in text and 1 folding plate, all depicting sluices. Condition: inner margin of title page strengthened, water stain on the first 2 lvs. A few lvs. browned.
Bound in full vellum, blind-stamped, some stains
