Description:In-f, [18], 355 ff, title printed in red and black, in beautiful woodcut engraved architectural border. Ms. ex libris on title page. Title page is loose. Beautiful historiated woodcut initials. A few marginal water stains (on first and last lvs), small marginal wormhole in first lvs, clear tears in ff. 314-315, else a good copy. Marbled calf binding (18th c.), some stains and scratches, spine with 6 raised bands, richly gilt, mottled edges
Note:Michel Vascosan was the son-in-law of Jodocus Badius. Cf. Adams C-1945 (another issue printed for Jehan Petit), scarce, not found in auction records.
Ubertino da Crescentino was a famous Italian philosopher (1405, died ca. 1500)
