Full pigskin binding, blindtooled, with the initials MHN, dated 1587, in the center a half-length portrait of Augustus, elector of Saxony, holding up a sword, painted in red, surrounded by the motto: "Virtutes Animi Majestas Explicatores Augusti, Vultus Inspice Numen Habent". Surrounded with personifications of Purdentia, Charitas, Fides, Spes. On the lower board a coat of arms in blue, from Augustus Herzog zu Saxen. Gilt and gauffered edges
